He has announced the change in the rate of the Scholarship. He announced an increase of 25 per cent in the rate of Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for boys and 33 per cent for the girls.
The rates have increased from Rs. 2,000 per month to Rs. 2,500 for the boys and for the girls the amount has gone up from Rs. 2,250 to Rs. 3,000.
Another change that was seen was the inclusion of State Police to the National Defence Fund . Earlier only the National Defence were included under the NDF but now the Police department has been included. Children of any police officer who lost his life by the attacks of terrorist can now entertain the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme.
